One year and three months…that is how long Israel has been in this war—with enemies on at least four fronts! And at least 34 Israelis are still being held captive by terrorists in Gaza.
This is also how long millions of Israelis have been in daily turmoil—searching for peace, for hope, and for GOOD NEWS in the midst of a very bleak situation.
And it’s into this present darkness that Shelanu TV—our Hebrew-speaking gospel channel—has been broadcasting the LIGHT and the GOOD NEWS of Yeshua the Messiah all day, every day.
Israelis mostly engage with Shelanu’s content through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other media. Last month, we had more than 146,000 views across all our various social media platforms.
Thanks to YOUR SUPPORT, we can post ads on social media and get this lifesaving (eternal life!) content in front of Israelis.
We are always encouraged by our Station Manager Evan Santoro’s monthly updates. Here are a few testimonies from recent interactions with Israelis who are seeking the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE—Yeshua.
A young man recently reached out to us on Facebook. He appears to be ultra-Orthodox and regularly posts devout religious content, including updates about Torah scroll dedications and teachings from rabbis on his Facebook page. This isn’t the first time he’s contacted us. This time, he requested a large-print edition of the New Testament to make it easier for him to read. Of course, we assured him we would send it to him soon. Seeing someone so visibly Orthodox openly requesting a New Testament is remarkable. From his past interactions with us, it’s clear that he has already been reading and engaging with our content on ShelanuTV. He even said, “You’re doing God’s work. Well done!” We pray that God will open his eyes. Thank God for the opportunity.
Another man from northern Israel has been corresponding with us about the content on our channel. He shared that he comes from a Christian background but has never been interested in faith. Through our videos, however, he said he had developed a hunger to explore faith deeply. He lives in northern Israel and asked if there was a congregation he could connect with in the Acre or Nahariya area. We connected him with a local congregation and friends we know there. We plan to stay in touch with him and await good news! It’s incredible to see how the content can ignite a hunger in people to seek God, change their lives, and join a community of believers.
We are also in touch with a 34-year-old man from Bnei Brak. Due to fear of being caught and harmed, he cannot allow us to send him a New Testament. Bnei Brak is one of the most ultra-Orthodox cities in Israel, and you are very likely to be persecuted and cast out if you’re caught interacting with “forbidden” stuff that is related to Yeshua, Jesus. It is considered an abomination. Despite this, he has been very open through online communication. While he is not yet willing to meet in person, he is happy to maintain contact and go through discipleship via WhatsApp. We continue to pray that, in time, he will feel comfortable enough to meet face-to-face. We are encouraged to see how the content touches his heart and pray that God will transform his life.
Please consider donating today to Shelanu TV. YOU are a VITAL part of our TEAM.
TOGETHER, we are reaching Israelis with the GOOD NEWS of Yeshua, the Messiah.
